A garage that had been added to a 1975 brick and tile duplex flat has been replaced with a deck, a storage area under and with a planter in front for privacy. Sliding doors have been added to the house for access to the deck and to allow light into the living area of the house.

The glazed balustrade to the deck is higher on the south side to protect against the south west winds.
